The philosophy, based on the natural benefits of ‘organic earth and vibrant sea’ incorporates a comprehensive menu of holistic Ayurvedic treatments overseen by the resident Ayurvedic Doctor who can prescribe the ideal course of treat¬ments based on guests’ individual Dosha. In addition, Thalgo products which draw upon the powerful richness and efficiency of the marine universe, are used in a broad range of innovative treatments for the face and body.

Highlights of the new menu include a miracle anti-ageing EnergiLift Thalgo facial designed to act as a non-surgical face-lift. The treatment combines the effects of a natural marine cellulose mask with revolutionary anti-ageing massage techniques that lift, tone and re-sculpt the face purely through the power of massage.

Another exclusive to Thalgo is the Slim & Sculpt, a treatment with active products and specific movements orchestrated in harmony to offer dual Slimming and Firming actions. After a thorough consultation, he will be able to recommend therapies specific to your needs, as the gently spoken Doctor explains “the aim of Ayurvedic medicine is to heal and the protection of health. This is achieved by identifying the uniqueness of each individual through their Constitutional dosha type or Prakruthi which remains the same throughout one’s life span. Constitutional dosha type is the combination of the physical and mental characters of a person and is determined by a tri dosha theory – Vata (Air), Pitta (Fire) and Kapha (Water). These are the three basic energies which are a combination of the five elements of nature (earth, water, fire, air, space or ether)”.

For Rejuvenation & Detox, the Doctor recommends the four day Rasayana Arogya package, based on the yearly treatments taken by the kings and queens of ancient India. Designed to nourish cells and tissues, improve immunity, detoxify and support the harmony of body, mind and soul, the ritual begins on the first day with a consultation and an Abhyanga Massage, a therapeutic massage performed with warm herbal oils infused with relaxing Ayurvedic herbs. The second day continues with a Njavara Kizhi treatment using warmed rice poultices to balance individual Doshas, or alternatively Ksheera Sekam, a rejuvenating treatment using warmed medicated milk poured onto the body. Shirodhara follows on the third day, an invigorating body massage whereby warm oil is poured onto the forehead or ‘third eye’, or the alternative of Ksheera Dhara, a similar full body massage treatment enhanced with the pouring of medicated milk over the third eye. The treatment concludes on the fourth day with Udwarthanam a detoxifying and exfoliating herbal massage and Steam Bath.
