You may prefer to opt for a comforting manicure, pedicure, or facial or simply let our beauty artists work their magic, while you lie back and inhale the soothing aromas of aromatherapy oils.

For a deeper we invite you to submit to deep the mind and body relaxation with an indulgent Ayurvedic massage. Our Ayurveda based treatments are an adaptation of traditional Ayurveda rituals and after a consultation with our head therapist you will be expertly assisted with choosing your treatment. You can choose from many carefully designed packages, from a 50 minute session to a life-changing seven day treatment course.

It wouldn’t be a complete Maldivian spa experience, if we were not able to provide a taste of traditional Dhivehi treatment for our guests. These treatment methods have been practiced for generations, many of which are fast disappearing.

For example, ‘Finikela’ is a traditional beauty treatment, well known to be a natural remedy for skin allergy, insect bites, and pimples. “Theyo dhemun” is another Maldivian specialty treatment offered at Araamu Spa. “Theyo” in Dhivehi language means “oil” and “dhemun” means to “massage”. The treatment consists of a full body massage that blends local and regional traditions to provide a truly rejuvenating experience.

Another traditional treatment rediscovered and offered by Araamu is “veli modun.” Originally practiced by traditional fishermen folk to relax their aching muscles using the wet sand on the beach, our therapists massage you with mixture of oils and fine sand to increase the blood circulation and rejuvenate tired muscles and nerves. Acompanied by the mesmerizing sound of the waves you will enjoy “veli modun” in close harmony with nature.
