Acupuncture has been proven to help boost fertility and the success rate of in vitro fertilisation. Now the Academy Spa in Harrogate has added acupuncture to its growing list of alternative therapies.

Academy spa's acupuncturist, Alison Fletcher, explains: "In my experience, acupuncture helps promote conception without the need for IVF treatment. It can improve ovarian function to produce better quality eggs, regulate hormones, increase blood flow, thicken the lining of the uterus and relax the patient."
